Berimbolo Back Take from Top Half Guard

Used when you are in top half guard and the opponent's leg is weaving inside. The core mechanism uses a shoulder roll to rotate over the opponent's leg while controlling the hip, allowing you to kick their leg through and secure the back.

  2. 2Stand on your toes with knees tight and swim your arm through to grab the opponent's lapel.0:22
  3. 3Look in the direction you want to travel and grab the opponent's low-side hip.0:28
  4. 4Shoulder roll in the direction of the hip grip while keeping knees tight and heels near hips.0:34
  5. 5Kick the opponent's leg straight through as you complete the roll and secure back control.0:42
  6. 6Maintain lapel grips to control shoulder movement, push the opponent forward, and rise to secure a seatbelt grip.0:47
