D'Arce Choke from Side Control Top or Top Half Guard

Apply the D'Arce choke when opponent has an underhook by threading your arm under the armpit to the neck, locking the choke, sprawling, and applying pressure by leaning and squeezing.

  2. 2Insert your arm underneath opponent's armpit and all the way to his neck0:14
  3. 3Grab your own bicep with your hand0:18
  4. 4Push opponent's head down with your elbow to prevent it from being up0:21
  5. 5Bring your hand all the way up as high as it can go, never placing hand on the bottom0:25
  6. 6Grab opponent's back with your free hand0:29
  7. 7Sprawl by putting all your weight on your shoulder and opponent's shoulder0:30
  8. 8Lean towards opponent's head to apply pressure on the shoulder into the neck0:37
  9. 9Squeeze and hug to finish the choke0:45
