Twisted Half Guard Pass

Use when opponent secures an underhook and chest-to-chest fails. The twisted hip position creates a leg hook that acts as an underhook, neutralizing their turning power and allowing a simple leg kick to pass.

  2. 2Drop your lat on the opponent's neck and turn your hip from square to a twisted position.0:32
  3. 3Thread your right hand under the opponent's body.0:41
  4. 4Wait patiently for the opponent to bridge or open their legs.0:45
  5. 5Kick your leg free and step through to complete the pass.0:55
