Berimbolo to Back — Traditional Belt Grip

Switch to a belt grip to invert, then use a tight hug and shin-blocking mechanics to drag the opponent into your lap for back control.

  1. 1Switch from collar to a belt grip (or pants material) and invert to the far hip while posting off the back leg.10:58
  2. 2Let go of the belt grip and capture the opponent's hip with a tight hug, pulling them into you.11:49
  3. 3Curl your heels down to the mat, touching your feet flat, while using grips to pull the opponent's weight.12:30
  4. 4Place your outside leg on top of your shin to block the back of the opponent's knee.12:46
  5. 5Switch grips to the back of the pants/collar, extend the hooked leg, and push/pull to set the opponent in your lap.12:56
  6. 6Secure underhook, overhook, and sink low into the back, keeping the leg extended to prevent running.13:16
