Supine Open Guard Shell Maintenance
Use this when on your back with an opponent standing or kneeling in front of you. It solves the problem of getting passed by protecting hip space and preventing the opponent from controlling your legs. The core mechanism is maintaining a staggered leg position (one high, one low) and keeping your arms near your hips to block entry, making it harder for the opponent to trap, stack, or spin you.
