Side Control Escape — Whizzer Counter

Used when the opponent posts a whizzer to stop your tight waist pass. The mechanism involves dropping low, controlling the leg, and using hip pressure to force a sprawl or reverse position.

  1. 1Drop down underneath the opponent's hip/ass cheek when the tight waist is blocked.10:00
  2. 2Shelf the opponent's leg on your ankle and switch hands.11:00
  3. 3Run around the side, gripping the knee and pressing your left ear into the opponent's top shoulder.12:00
  4. 4If the opponent sprawls, fish for the lower leg and externally rotate the ankle.13:00
  5. 5Drive right hip pressure into the opponent while maintaining the leg control.14:00
  6. 6Reverse hip escape under the opponent and pass your knee to the tailbone.14:28
