Closed Guard Is Easy Once You Understand This

youtube·Josh Saunders ·15:35·5 techniques

Overview

A closed guard system for white belts who get stuck in stalemates. The instructor teaches how to chain upper-body and lower-body attacks so that defending one opens the other. The core loop: feint a leg scoop to force the opponent's hand away, capture the wrist two-on-one, then sweep (pendulum or flower) or attack the neck (opposite triangle) or legs (K-guard to 50/50 heel hook). Every step builds on the last—no resets to neutral.
