Deep Half Guard Sweep — Lapel Cross-Body Variation

When the opponent maintains a heavy base that resists a standard knee-shield sweep, use a cross-body lapel grip combined with a bridge and upward arm punch to lift their leg and compromise their structure before turning over.

  5. 5Thread your left hand through the lapel and secure a grip on the opposite side of their belt.0:44
  6. 6Bridge your hips while punching your gripping arm straight up to lift their leg.0:57
